How to use the Email Disk Usage Tool

The Email Disk Usage tool is an exciting tool that was released in 2017. This utility allows you to easily manage the disk space usage of your email accounts. One of the more popular support ticket reasons are from clients whose mailbox is full. Well this tool allows our clients to easily manage and if need be, remove old messages from their mail account. It also shows them how many messages are in each folder and the amount of disk space the folder is using. It provides a number of criterion to use to delete messages in order to reclaim disk space.

Here is how to use this fantastic tool:

1. Log into cPanel.

2. Click on the Email Disk Usage tool icon with the Email section of cPanel.

3. Select the email account that you want to manage from the Account drop down box. The (Default Account) is automatically selected.

4. Once you choose your email account to manage, the folders for that email account will automatically display below. These rows of folders will show you the number of messages in each folder and how much disk space the folder is using. Clicking on the Manage link will display a drop down menu that provides you a way to remove messages using a variety of criterion.

As you can see this is a very useful and powerful tool. If you have any questions on how to use this tool, please feel free to open up a support ticket via your EMWD client area. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

As always, thank you for using!
