How to whitelist an email address

Sometimes Spamassassin will mark an email as spam and not deliver it to your inbox when you in fact what it delivered. In such cases, you can use cPanel (your hosting control panel) to whitelist an email address so that it will pass through Spamassassin's checks safely. Here's how:

1. Log into cPanel at http://yourdomain/cpanel/.

2. Click on the "Apache SpamAssassin" link and/or icon. It is located within the Email section of cPanel.

3. Click on the "Configure Apache SpamAssassin" button.

4. Add the email address in the "whitelist_from" text box and click the "save" button. You can use glob-style patterns. For example if you wish to whitelist all hotmail users, you can add *@hotmail.com to the text box.

If you continue having delivery problems from an email address after whitelisting it, then please feel free to submit a support ticket via your client area and we will be happy to assist.
